Plan for Friday

logo

It’s Friday!  And I still have a few things to do on my list for this, the first week of January! So it’s going to be a busy day – that’s the plan.

The morning starts off with an appointment.  I have a senior who has asked for help and want to come over so I can teach them some things on the computer. They asked for 30 minutes when they phoned on Monday so I set it up for today.  Then this afternoon, I have to get some errands done out and about.

Well, I should have known that you can’t teach anyone “computer stuff” in 30 minutes, least of all seniors. And they came as a couple – he was the driver and she was the learner… yet I lost track of how often she would look at him and say, “You’ll remember this for when we get home, right?” Actually they were quite cute. I enjoyed the morning and part of the afternoon I spent with them. It’s probably a good thing she had a doctor’s appointment at 3 or they might still have been here at supper.

As they were leaving, I saw it was snowing quite heavily and didn’t look pleasant out at all. I made the decision to just stay home and do my errands in the morning, since I’m going to my aunt’s 80th birthday party. I’ll just leave really early and stop at the bank and the store on my way to the lunch.

Friday is also the day for my Friday call with Maria and Art and I didn’t want to miss that. It was a great call today. The challenge today was to think like marketers by understanding what the trends are for today so that we can be at the front of a curve, and not trying to catch up. They discussed what they see as the top 10 trends for 2011. I think I have to agree with them, as everything they said made so much sense. Maybe I’ll write about that in a different post next week.

I’m going to spend the rest of the evening working on my main site. My goal is to be able to start promoting that site by next week. That means I need to get some content on it as I’m finally happy with the layout and graphics.

So I better get writing. I won’t be home at all tomorrow as it’s a day for family. And of course, I prefer not to “work” on Sundays as that the Lord’s day. So I have a lot of things to finish up tonight.

But I will say, I love what I’m doing, so it’s going to be a fun night.

Oh, guess I should tell you that as of 5:30 today, I have 497 on my Twitter list. Are you on it yet? Sure hope so.

Feel free to leave a comment … or better yet, send a tweet about my post. Thanks in advance.
