Baby Boomers Building Businesses
I started the morning by logging into Twitter.
I had 91 followers! After only one day on Twitter!
That’s like 91 people on a list! That is so cool.
I spent about 30 minutes manually sending a welcome direct message to those 91 tweeters. I know there is supposedly some automated way to send this Thank You for following me message, but I didn’t get it figure out this morning, so I just did it manually. Think I’ll add this to my To Do list .. to figure out how the gurus and Twitter masters do it automatically.
Then I spend 30 minutes finding about 200 new friends. I’m also saving screen shots of all my statistics so I can verify my progress. Who know, I might turn this into a video or something so I want to make so I keep good records.
I have to spend some time this afternoon doing up my December reports for my offline business clients so I’m not sure what else I’ll get done online today. If I have some time, I’ll work on my site. I also want to put up my first Facebook Fan Page … so lots of projects on the go.
I am starting to see some progress and it’s fun putting the pieces of the business plan into place. Once the basics sites and such are all up and as I like them, then I can focus on getting traffic to them. I don’t want to promote them, though, until they are ready.
I hate road construction sites so it’s a given that I don’t appreciate being sent to a site that’s not functioning correctly. Trust me, I don’t go back. So that’s how I work on my sites as well. I don’t turn them on to “Open” until they function properly.
And you can be sure that I’ll be monitoring my Twitter account.
